Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable patients, using strong clinical judgment to spot changes early
• Provide compassionate physical, emotional and cultural support from admission through discharge, ensuring safe transitions of care
• Manage advanced medical equipment and complex invasive lines including A-lines, central lines, chest tubes and multiple IVs
• Deliver ventilator and noninvasive ventilatory support for short-term needs and collaborate with respiratory therapy
• Perform telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation to guide timely interventions
• Lead and precept clinical staff, offering direction to RNs, LPNs, CNAs and ancillary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Coordinate discharge planning and interdisciplinary communication to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain documentation and follow established policies and procedures with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN licensure required
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required (or obtainable within 6 months of hire)
• Experience practicing in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit with recent Progressive Care or Critical Care experience required
• EPNC and TNCC certifications preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead clinically and precept staff

• Degree from a Nursing Program
