Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients following established protocols
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and unit staff to coordinate patient care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and discharge needs
• Prioritize patient safety and contribute to unit quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact RN license as applicable
• 2+ years of recent nursing experience (PCU or progressive care experience preferred)
• Comfortable working in a telemetry/PCU environment and managing moderate-acuity patients
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications are a plus
• Ability to work a full travel assignment and adapt quickly to new clinical settings
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Cardiac and hemodynamic assessment skills
• IV medication administration and titration
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation proficiency
• Critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making
• Teamwork, time management, and patient advocacy
