Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess recovery status
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe patient transitions
• Educate families on post-procedure care instructions
• Maintain a calm and comforting environment for children and their families

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Washington state
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Experience in PACU or critical care preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric patient assessment and monitoring
• Pain management techniques for children
• Emergency response and airway management
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Understanding of sterile techniques and infection control
