Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients before, during, and after surgery
• Assist the surgical team with procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
• Monitor vital signs and support patients during recovery from anesthesia
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate, family-centered care
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered Ohio RN license
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred
• Previous operating room experience, with pediatric experience a plus
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile technique
• Familiarity with pediatric surgical equipment and procedures
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and patient advocacy skills
