Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU
• Monitor and assess neonatal patients, adjusting care plans as needed
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other nurses to deliver comprehensive care
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and life-saving interventions with precision
• Educate and support families during their NICU journey
• Document patient progress accurately in Cerner EMR
• Float to Peds, PICU, and Mother Baby (babies only) to support the team

Qualifications

• NRP certification required
• Level III or higher NICU experience - 2 years or more preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Stable and NIC-RNC certification preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to remain calm in high-stress situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for neonatal care
• Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Proficiency in Cerner EMR
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate family-centered care approach
