Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, family-centered care to critically ill neonates in a 51-bed Level III NICU
• Collaborate with neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and respiratory therapists to deliver comprehensive care
• Administer medications, perform detailed assessments, and monitor vital signs with precision
• Educate and support families during their NICU journey with compassion and clarity
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner to ensure seamless communication across the care team
• Adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and promote a culture of safety and excellence

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (or ability to obtain before start)
• NRP certification is required
• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience strongly preferred
• Stable and NIC-RNC certifications are a plus
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neonatal assessment, ventilation, and resuscitation
• Understanding of developmental care and family-centered NICU practices
• Proficiency in electronic charting and medication administration
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
