Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts; exact start/end times to be confirmed (schedule may include days, evenings, nights and weekends)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Neuro Stepdown patients
Monitor neurological status and telemetry closely, recognizing changes early
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Document assessments, interventions and patient progress clearly and promptly
Educate patients and families about condition, care plan and discharge needs
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential and eligibility to practice in Louisiana
Clinical experience or strong interest in Neuro Stepdown (SDU) patient care
Comfort with telemetry monitoring and neurological assessments
Professional communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced unit
Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts including weekends and evenings

Knowledge & Skills

Assessment and ongoing monitoring of neuro patients
Telemetry interpretation and cardiac/neurologic observation
Medication administration and IV therapy
Critical thinking and rapid prioritization in acute care settings
Patient and family education with a compassionate bedside manner
