Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Assess and monitor patient condition, recognizing changes and escalating appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document patient care thoroughly and timely in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts in a per-diem capacity
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience in acute care or med-surg environments preferred; MST experience is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, dependable work ethic, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and monitoring skills for adult patients
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in fast-paced situations
• Teamwork and collaboration across nursing and ancillary teams
• Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
