Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during overnight shifts
• Perform focused assessments and intervene promptly based on patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient status, treatments and communications clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Support patients and families with education, reassurance and care planning

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in California or compact state as applicable
• Experience working with MST populations or willingness to train in MST care
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by site
• Prior acute care or specialty nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to work overnight hours and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and triage during overnight shifts
• Medication administration and safe IV/infusion management
• Clear clinical documentation and electronic medical record use
• Crisis management and de-escalation skills when needed
• Team collaboration and effective handoffs between shifts
• Culturally competent, trauma-informed care approaches
