Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive admission assessments and medication reconciliation for patients admitted directly from the ER
• Initiate acute care orders and coordinate patient care to enhance throughput and reduce length of stay
• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population across MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down levels
• Collaborate with a fast-paced interdisciplinary team focused on ED decompression and patient safety
• Float to other units within your skill set as needed
• Serve as a telemetry resource or assist with higher-acuity patient transport from the ED

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU)
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Positive attitude and a focus on teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Charge nurse experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Cerner electronic documentation system
• Experience with Baxter IV infusion pumps
• Knowledge of remote telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Ability to manage high-acuity, quick-turnover patient assignments
