Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including post-operative recovery patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately in EPIC
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, with attention to patient safety
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust care plans
• Float to other units within your scope as needed, ensuring continuous patient care
• Provide care to oncology med/surg overflow patients with empathy and expertise
• Maintain a calm, organized approach in a fast-paced acute care setting

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact privileges
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1-2 years of MedSurg nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license required (used for radius rule determination)
• First-time travelers welcome!
• Must pass an open-book orientation exam (90% or higher to pass)
• Ability to comply with fingernail policy (no artificial nails in patient care areas)

Education

• ADN or Diploma in Nursing accepted
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med-surg nursing skills
• Post-operative and recovery care knowledge
• Comfortable with oncology patient populations
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health records
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Flexibility and adaptability to float between units
