Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during patient examinations and procedures to ensure smooth, efficient visits
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms before and after procedures
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring clear imaging for accurate diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care in a warm, friendly manner
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charting in the dental software
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed

Qualifications

• Certification or registration as a Dental Assistant in New York State (or eligibility to obtain)
• Dental X-ray certification (or willingness to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is a plus
• A genuine passion for patient care and team collaboration

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with dental software for patient scheduling and charting
• Strong interpersonal skills to help patients feel comfortable
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office environment
