Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and document changes accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with protocol
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations with calm and skill
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with standards
Support unit initiatives to improve patient outcomes and quality of care

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Alabama
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certs preferred
Clinical experience on Med/Surg units is preferred
Comfort and ability to work 12-hour clinical shifts
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Willingness to pass required background and health screenings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and patient assessment
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education
