Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights, schedule varies; 12-hour clinical shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients
- Assess patient condition and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Monitor and document patient status, changes, and outcomes
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
- Respond to clinical emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately
Qualifications
- Current RN license (Alabama) or compact RN license as applicable
- Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced clinical environment with professionalism
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing standards and protocols
- Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Good time management and prioritization in a 12-hour shift setting
