Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric and med/surg patients
- Assess patient condition and prioritize care based on clinical needs
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and discharge plans
- Document care and patient responses clearly and timely in the medical record
- Participate in orientation and unit-based training to maintain best practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or ability to obtain one
- Experience or comfort working in med/surg and pediatric settings
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a team
- Willingness to participate in orientation and ongoing professional development
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills for med/surg and pediatric patients
- Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Comfort working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities
