Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered Med/Surg and pediatric nursing care
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members for coordinated care
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical excellence
- Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or eligible for compact RN privileges
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
- Clinical experience or training in Med/Surg and pediatric nursing (experience preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and patient communication skills
- Willingness to participate in orientation as provided by the facility
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge with pediatric care capabilities
- Proficient medication administration and IV/infusion skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and care planning
- Comfortable working in electronic health record systems
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and family-centered care approach
