Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on Med/Surg units
Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent care
Monitor patient progress, document changes, and escalate concerns
Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients

Qualifications

Current RN license eligible to practice in Louisiana (compact license accepted where applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Med/Surg experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills encouraged to apply
Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork mindset
Comfortable using electronic health records and standard hospital equipment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
Skilled in patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond to changing patient needs
Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
