Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a general medicine unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, with a focus on safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to create and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a calm, organized environment while managing multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or a compact state
• Current BLS certification required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred, but passionate new grads welcome to apply
• Ability to commit to the full assignment schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and team members
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, collaborative approach to patient care
