Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (12-hour shift; exact start/end times and days to be confirmed with the facility)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
Coordinate discharge planning and patient education for successful transitions
Document clinical care clearly in the medical record and maintain compliance
Support unit workflows and assist colleagues to ensure consistent patient care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Current BLS certification required; ACLS encouraged depending on unit needs
Clinical experience or training in medical-surgical nursing (experience preferred)
Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including rotations as needed
Clear background check and required health screenings/immunizations

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong skills in patient assessment and clinical decision making
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear documentation
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients and staff
