Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical and cardiac patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation while ensuring a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license (Connecticut or compact state accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in med-surg or cardiac nursing preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Willingness to meet Trinity health and immunization requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Patient assessment and early recognition of changes
• Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education
• Critical thinking in high-acuity situations
