Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to antepartum and postpartum patients
• Perform and interpret non-stress tests and manage hyperemesis care as needed
• Administer and titrate specialty infusions including insulin drips, magnesium and heparin per protocol
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech and CPN to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses and interdisciplinary team members to manage patient acuity and ratios
• Educate patients and families on postpartum and antepartum care, discharge planning and follow-up
• Respond effectively to obstetric escalations and emergencies to keep moms and babies safe

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) credential (as indicated by role title) with relevant clinical experience
• Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience (experience field lists 1)
• BLS certification (must have)
• Previous Labor & Delivery, Antepartum or Postpartum experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech and CPN electronic medical records

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in Labor & Delivery, Antepartum and Postpartum care
• Experience performing non-stress tests and managing hyperemesis
• Competence with infusion therapies: insulin drips, magnesium administration and heparin drips
• Comfort working with patient ratios typically 3:1 or 4:1 and adapting to acuity changes
• Teamwork-oriented with clear, compassionate communication skills
