Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adults in the ICU
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic and ventilator data to guide interventions
• Administer medications safely and manage complex infusion therapies
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Perform timely documentation in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency/rapid response situations
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and discharge needs with compassion and clarity

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact RN with CA eligibility)
• Minimum ICU experience preferred; prior critical care experience strongly desired
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work per diem shifts including single-day assignments
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring (cardiac, respiratory, neurological)
• Ventilator management fundamentals and troubleshooting
• IV medication administration and titration of vasoactive drips
• Familiarity with common ICU devices and telemetry monitoring
• Proficient in clinical documentation and care coordination
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-acuity patients
