Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adults in the ICU
• Continuously assess and monitor patients’ hemodynamic and respiratory status
• Administer medications and titrate infusions safely according to orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff—to optimize patient outcomes
• Document accurate and timely patient care in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, care plans, and transitions

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (eligible to work in Louisiana; compact license accepted if applicable)
• ICU clinical experience or strong critical care background preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred or required per facility policy
• Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and complex monitoring
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and intervention skills
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Proficiency with IV infusions, titration, and central line care
• Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment and hemodynamic assessment
• Comfortable using electronic health records for documentation
• Teamwork, prioritization, and rapid clinical decision-making
