Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU
• Continuously assess patient conditions and respond swiftly to changes
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and monitor hemodynamic status
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate and support patients and families during challenging times
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or a compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Previous ICU/MICU experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and every third weekend
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care nursing, including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in high-stress situations
• Proficiency with electronic health records and medication administration
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and resilience when caring for complex patients
