Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage trauma and acute conditions
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent ER experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing, trauma care, and critical thinking
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic setting
