Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop personalized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, motor function, and independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, families, and caregivers to ensure holistic, patient-centered care
• Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment plans to achieve the best outcomes
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment for safety and independence
• Advocate for each resident's highest level of function and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license, or eligibility to obtain one before start
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy assessments and interventions
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
