Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for every patient
- Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety
- Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
- Educate patients on orthodontic care, including braces and aligners, to help them achieve a healthy smile
- Maintain accurate patient records and support the front office team with scheduling and follow-ups
Qualifications
- Certified or registered dental assistant in Maryland
- Experience in orthodontics or a strong desire to learn the specialty
- Current X-ray certification and CPR/BLS certification
- A friendly, patient-first attitude with excellent communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and orthodontic procedures
- Comfortable using dental practice management software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative healthcare team
