Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for every patient
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on orthodontic care, including braces and aligners, to help them achieve a healthy smile
• Maintain accurate patient records and support the front office team with scheduling and follow-ups

Qualifications

• Certified or registered dental assistant in Maryland
• Experience in orthodontics or a strong desire to learn the specialty
• Current X-ray certification and CPR/BLS certification
• A friendly, patient-first attitude with excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and orthodontic procedures
• Comfortable using dental practice management software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative healthcare team
