Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and thorough dental hygiene care to patients
• Perform professional teeth cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain oral health
• Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans
• Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilize instruments according to standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented dental environment
• Previous experience in dental hygiene is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Strong patient education and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control
