Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and assist the orthodontist with procedures
• Take dental impressions, X-rays, and digital scans as needed
• Sterilize and organize instruments to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Guide patients through their orthodontic care with warmth and clarity
• Utilize Denticon to schedule appointments and update patient records
• Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and answer any questions

Qualifications

• Certified or registered dental assistant with orthodontic experience
• Proficient in orthodontic assisting and comfortable with Denticon software
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first approach
• Current Maryland state dental assistant certification or ability to obtain
• Previous experience working with orthodontic patients preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Skill in digital radiography and dental impressions
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances and patient care
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office
• Proficiency with Denticon or similar dental software
