Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for residents
• Help patients with therapeutic activities to improve motor skills and daily living
• Document patient progress and response to treatment
• Educate patients and families on exercises and adaptive techniques
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
• State licensure as required in Colorado
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
• BLS/CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and modalities
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
• Ability to adapt to the needs of residents
