Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert emergency nursing care to patients with diverse conditions, including stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, and behavioral health needs.
• Perform rapid comprehensive assessments, monitor telemetry, and initiate critical interventions when seconds count.
• Collaborate with physicians, ED techs, and support staff to streamline patient flow and provide compassionate, respectful care.
• Administer medications and manage drips, including insulin, cardiac, and sedation drips, with confidence.
• Triage patients effectively and support fast-track care through the lobby, stepping in as charge nurse when needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington or a compact state (or pending - we're happy to wait!)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Behavioral health experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Previous travel experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Knowledge of emergency medications, drips, and interventions
• Comfortable working with behavioral health patients
• Adaptability to float within Region I facilities as needed
