Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, respiratory, vascular, and renal conditions
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, adjusting care as needed
• Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
• Manage arterial lines and administer high flow oxygen therapy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on medication, procedures, and post-discharge care
• Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain a safe, responsive, and healing environment focused on patient experience

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state
• 2+ years of PCU/Stepdown experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Competency in arterial line management
• Comfort with titrating IV drips and reading telemetry strips
• Proficiency in EPIC charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
