Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a high-volume Level II trauma center
• Deliver comprehensive care for trauma, stroke, and acute medical emergencies using advanced skills
• Collaborate with a welcoming, team-oriented staff to ensure positive patient experiences
• Utilize Cerner documentation system and maintain up-to-date patient boards
• Float within the ED as needed, adapting to various sections and patient acuity levels

Qualifications

• 2+ years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency setting
• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start
• ENPC certification within 90 days of hire
• Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing, trauma care, and stroke management
• Proficient with Cerner EHR system
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
