Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift (primarily); flexibility required to work mid shifts and participate in Open Heart call as needed

Bill Rate: $50,000 (sign-on bonus, paid over 24 months)

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the CVOR for open-heart procedures, ensuring patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the perioperative team to coordinate care and optimize workflow
Maintain sterile technique and operating room best practices throughout all phases of surgery
Serve on the Open Heart call rotation and respond promptly and professionally when needed
Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Current RN licensure required
Minimum 3 years Operating Room experience required
Cardiac open-heart experience required
CVOR experience preferred
BSN preferred; candidates without a BSN may be considered if committed to obtaining one within three years of hire

Education

BSN preferred; commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years may be considered with relevant experience

Knowledge & Skills

Perioperative nursing and operating room practice
Cardiac surgical nursing and open-heart procedure familiarity
Strong teamwork and communication skills in high-acuity settings
Ability to manage sterile field and perioperative safety protocols
Flexibility to work varied shifts and participate in call coverage
