Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in a fast-paced Cath Lab
• Assist physicians with angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional cardiology procedures
• Monitor and assess patient hemodynamic status throughout procedures, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, contrast agents, and sedation under physician direction
• Provide compassionate patient education and post-procedure care to ensure smooth recoveries
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary cardiac team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Iowa or a compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification
• Previous Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and work every third weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and arrhythmia recognition
• Proficiency with sterile technique, cath lab equipment, and contrast administration
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with physicians and staff
• Detail-oriented approach to patient safety and documentation
