Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to cardiovascular stepdown patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and EKG changes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients recovering from cardiac procedures like PTCA, stents, TAVR, and open-heart surgery
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
• Provide patient and family education to promote optimal recovery and heart health
• Float to similar units as needed to ensure seamless patient care across the facility
• Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality, contributing to our Beacon Award-winning culture

Qualifications

• At least one year of Stepdown experience (required)
• Comfortability with cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Active Michigan RN license or compact license, with verification through LARA and Nursys
• Willingness to float to similar units as needed
• Travel experience and flexibility to adapt quickly
• A completed skills checklist within the last year for RN specialties
