Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform imaging examinations across modalities with accuracy and compassion
• Operate radiology and CT equipment safely and efficiently
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support physicians in diagnosis and treatment
• Position patients correctly for optimal imaging results and patient comfort
• Maintain thorough documentation and records for all imaging procedures
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and facility privacy standards
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and equipment failures
• Assist with phone triage, patient scheduling, and departmental workflow
• Participate in CQI monitoring and help keep the department compliant with federal and state regulations
• Collaborate with the Manager, medical staff, and peers to ensure excellent patient care

Qualifications

• Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
• BLS certification required
• Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology (or graduate of an accredited radiology program)
• ARRT certification preferred
• Experience in at least two imaging modalities required
• Two years acute care experience preferred; experience in a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility may be substituted
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional bedside manner

Education

• Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology (graduate of an accredited radiology program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient positioning and age-appropriate care practices
• Operation and troubleshooting of radiology and CT imaging equipment
• Producing consistent, diagnostic-quality images
• Documentation, records management, and confidentiality best practices
• Emergency response procedures and quick equipment problem recognition
• Familiarity with federal and state diagnostic imaging regulations
• CQI monitoring and participation in quality initiatives
• Effective communication with patients, caregivers, and clinical teams
