Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the entire Radiology program to ensure timely, accurate study submission and reporting
• Provide PACS training and support to staff and assist with radiology transcription issues
• Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and quoted as required by regulatory agencies
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures and manage the radiation protection monitoring program
• Work with clinic administrators, medical directors, and Finance to drive quality, compliance, and improved revenue capture (radiology chargemaster)
• Ensure QA/QC activities are completed and prepare required reports
• Perform lead apron testing and verify competencies and training of staff performing radiologic exams
• Supervise radiology employees, conduct timely evaluations, and step in to perform radiologic exams within your scope

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) — required
• Registered Mammographer — preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist — preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) — required
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations related to radiology services
• Experience with digitized imaging and MQSA requirements
• Skilled in PACS, radiation safety, QA/QC, lead apron testing, and equipment maintenance
• Ability to manage the radiology chargemaster and collaborate with Finance on revenue capture
• Strong oral and written communication, multi-tasking, and team leadership skills
• Comfortable working in multiple computer systems and documenting medical information clearly
• Ability to write radiology manuals and implement policies and procedures
