Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with care and accuracy to produce high-quality images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety and radiation protection protocols
• Position and prepare patients compassionately, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the clinical team to support timely patient care
• Review images for technical quality and assist with documentation in PACS/EHR systems
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent training
• ARRT registration in Radiography or Louisiana state licensure (or ability to obtain) preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced clinical environment
• Reliable attention to detail, good communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program
• ARRT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
• Familiarity with PACS, digital imaging systems, and basic troubleshooting
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and exposure minimization
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records
• Comfortable interacting with diverse patient populations with empathy and professionalism
