Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patient mobility and functional needs using evidence-based evaluation
Develop personalized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, and independence
Implement therapeutic exercises and hands-on techniques with care and precision
Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support holistic, family-centered care
Provide education and coaching to patients and families to promote long-term outcomes
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapy license (required)
BLS/CPR certification (required or obtain upon hire)
Experience or comfort working with pediatric populations is preferred
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work part-time 4-hour shifts and attend orientation

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy considered

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical evaluation and treatment planning
Therapeutic exercise and gait training techniques
Manual therapy fundamentals
Patient and family education best practices
Electronic medical record documentation
Collaborative, interdisciplinary teamwork
