Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate physical therapy treatments to residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, ambulation, and mobility training to improve their quality of life
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with facility guidelines
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to develop and adjust treatment plans
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety measures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive therapy environment

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Missouri (or compact eligibility)
• Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program
• 1-3 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and treatment techniques
• Understanding of documentation and medical recordkeeping
• Skill in patient assessment and progress monitoring
• Proficiency in using therapy equipment and tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
• Time management and organizational skills
