Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for every patient
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, and maintain a spotless treatment environment
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions with precision
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene best practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and follow-up
• Greet patients with a warm smile and help them feel at ease

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified Dental Assistant in Maryland (or eligible to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in dental assisting, preferably in orthodontics
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Experience with dental practice management software (Denticon is a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• A positive, collaborative attitude that supports the whole team
