Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care and brace maintenance
• Manage patient records and charting using Denticon software
• Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

• Must be a certified orthodontic assistant (COA or CDA with orthodontic certification)
• Prior experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• Proficiency with Denticon software is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Good communication skills and a caring attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Skilled in taking dental X-rays
• Familiarity with dental record-keeping software
• Strong interpersonal and patient-care skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
