Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to neuro stepdown patients, monitoring their neurological status closely
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and a caring touch
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions and recovery steps
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
• Document care accurately while maintaining a calm, reassuring presence

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact) - we welcome new graduates too!
• Current BLS certification (required)
• ACLS preferred; neuro or stepdown experience is a bonus
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• A passion for helping others and working in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to monitor and interpret vital signs and neuro assessments
• Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable with electronic health records and technology
• Adaptable and able to prioritize in a dynamic setting
