Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding promptly to changes
• Assist with deliveries, including natural births, C-sections, and emergency procedures
• Educate and support new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for mom and baby
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure a safe, comfortable environment

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of Louisiana
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Prior experience in Labor and Delivery or a strong desire to specialize in maternal-child health
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of fetal monitoring and labor support techniques
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused during emergencies
• Proficiency in electronic health records and charting
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
