Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for patients undergoing interventional cardiac procedures, including RHC/LHC, complex PCI, CTO, and structural heart interventions.
• Monitor hemodynamics, titrate critical care drips, and manage advanced devices like IABP, Impella, and temporary transvenous pacemakers during procedures.
• Collaborate with a highly skilled team of cardiologists, RCIS, and techs to ensure safe, efficient procedures and excellent patient outcomes.
• Prepare patients and families for procedures, providing education and emotional support before, during, and after their time in the Cath Lab.
• Maintain a sterile, organized environment and quickly respond to emergencies in a Level 1 Cardiac Care setting.
• Document accurately in EPIC Cupid and participate in call rotation to provide 24/7 interventional coverage.

Qualifications

• Current active RN license (RCIS certification for Tech applicants) in Georgia or a compact state
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or Critical Care experience with critical care gtt management
• ACLS and BLS certifications current
• Experience with RHC/LHC, CTO, and complex PCI; structural heart experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Skillful in hemodynamic monitoring and critical care medication titration
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment including IVUS, Shockwave, DFR, FFR, Rotablator, IABP, and Impella
• Comfortable with advanced structural heart procedures such as TAVR, TMVR, Watchman, and PFO/ASD closure (preferred)
• Proficient with EPIC Cupid documentation
• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills in a Level 1 trauma and cardiac center
