Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize dental operatory rooms, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready for hygienist procedures
• Assist the dental hygienist during patient exams, including handing instruments and managing suction
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols
• Provide compassionate support to patients, helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
• Document patient care details accurately and assist with updating dental records
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or relevant hands-on experience is highly valued
• CPR/BLS certification is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a welcoming, patient-first attitude
• Familiarity with dental procedures and instruments
• Ability to work collaboratively with hygienists and the broader dental team
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and assisting with patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Strong infection control and safety awareness
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Teamwork and clear communication with both patients and colleagues
