Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care, including cleanings, plaque removal, and patient assessments
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnoses
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and preventive care to keep their smiles healthy
• Maintain meticulous patient records and document treatments in accordance with practice standards
• Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans and support procedures
• Sterilize instruments and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/Red Cross) or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Previous dental hygiene experience in a clinical setting preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and periodontal therapy
• Knowledge of dental radiography (X-ray) techniques and safety protocols
• Familiarity with electronic dental records (EDR) systems
• Infection control and sterilization best practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and team members
• Time management and organization in a fast-paced dental office
