Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients, including cleanings and preventive treatments
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and post-treatment care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure a smooth workflow
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments following strict infection control standards
• Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in dental hygiene, preferably in a clinical setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with patients
• Commitment to infection control and patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and preventive care techniques
• Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping systems
• Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental x-rays
• Excellent communication and patient-education skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dental care team
