Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and overall oral health
• Take and develop dental X-rays for accurate diagnosis
• Screen patients for signs of oral disease and abnormalities
• Document patient care and treatment plans meticulously
• Support the dentist during procedures with a steady, reassuring presence
• Maintain high standards of sterilization and infection control
• Make every patient feel comfortable, informed, and cared for

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Clinical dental hygiene experience preferred, but new graduates welcome
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• A genuine passion for improving patients' smiles and health

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and radiography
• Understanding of periodontology, oral health, and preventive care
• Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients
• Time management to keep every appointment running smoothly
